Enjoy the Beautiful Tourist Attractions Near Our Motel

Condon is a proud, century-old farming community nestled between miles of rolling, golden wheat fields in Eastern Oregon. We are located on the high plateau of the Columbia River Region — just 38 miles south of the mighty Columbia River, less than 3 hours east of Portland, 2 hours west of Pendleton, and 2.5 hours north of Bend. And we are at the doorstep of the Blue Mountains and the new Cottonwood Canyon State Park, which provide outstanding hiking, camping, boating and fishing opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts.

The Condon area offers excellent motorcycle and bicycle routes for maximum rider enjoyment (we have maps).  You can order a picnic lunch from local eateries and visit the Condon City Park, or the Cottonwood Canyon State Park on the John Day River, 20 minutes away.  Nature walks and hiking trails make for a great day in our outdoor wonderland for both children and adults.  We host many car clubs, motorcycle clubs, weddings, or just a group of buddies getting away for a rafting or fishing trip on the river.  Digging for fossils in Fossil (20 minutes away) or enjoying the breath taking views of the Painted Hills will make for a great trip.  So many activities to keep you busy.  But please, don't forget our local Historical Museum, it's a real treasure.
